Our
food analysis section analyzes residual pesticides in food with the inauguration
of the positive list system, as the first inspection agency authorized by the
Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in the private sector in Kanagawa Prefecture. Furthermore,
the section has introduced advanced equipment and is proactively engaged in
new fields such as testing allergens in food such as eggs and wheat, conducting
analysis to identify food varieties by DNA analysis, and conducting mold toxicity
(aflatoxin) analysis to respond to customer needs.
Analyzing
a wide variety of measurable, from air, water and soil to products, agricultural
chemicals and food Nihon Environmental Services’ environmental measurement
business performs surveys, analysis and certification of compliance with public
regulation criteria and environmental standards stipulated by laws, regulations
and rules, in addition, we cater to surveys and analysis voluntarily undertaken
by private enterprises to meet individual circumstances.
Also we are actively conducting studies on new analysis and surveys that respond
to changing social needs. For example, we undertook technical research on the
analysis of mustard gas and other toxic gases and subsequently commercialized
the results.
By
providing this wide range of analysis and survey services, we are earning great
support from an enormous number of companies. Eighty percent of our sales are
earned in the private sector. This is a gratifyingly high proportion for the
industry.
In
the sector of field surveys, we offer a wide spectrum of field survey services.
These services include environmental assessment, aimed at the prediction and
evaluation of the environmental impact of large-scale development projects,
field surveys of living environments designed to ensure safe and comfortable
lifestyles, encompassing issues such as ambient noise, vibration, air pollution,
wind damage and meteorological surveys of the sound insulation characteristics
of buildings. Today, new environmentally-friendly solutions are required not
only for corporate production systems but also for lifestyles. Paying attention
to the three concepts of autonomous management, understanding of environmental
risks and communications offer consulting services as solutions addressing
environmental issues.
In
the sector of field surveys of the natural environment are engaged in a broad-spectrum
of operations relating to field surveys of the natural environment, ranging
from urban fringe natural areas close to people to various mountainous environments.
Our activities are not confined to mere surveys. We study the impacts of a
project and when an impact is predicted we will propose appropriate protection
measures. To provide assistance in environmental design, we examine natural
observation parks and sanctuaries, neo-natural river reconstruction methods,
and conduct biotope surveys, ecological parkways and translocation methods
to make an outstanding contribution to highly effective conservation of the
natural environment.
Our
material analysis section obtained ISO/IEC17025 certification (laboratory accreditation)
for six materials designated by the RoHS Directive. These materials are
Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr6+, PBBs and PBDEs. This is the first time in Japan that
an organization has received such accreditation. The section conducts
analysis to respond to green procurement in the electric and electronic industry. It
also offers analysis services for paraffin chloride, azo dyes, phthalates and
PFOS/PFOA listed by the Japan Green Procurement Survey Standardization Initiative
(JGPSSI). In addition, it provides services to measure VOC emissions
from the materials used in automobile interiors, personal computers and home
electric appliances, voluntarily addressed by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers
Association (JAMA) and the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries
Association (JEITA).
